My Professional Journey
Hi, I’m Alexandra Parkhomenko.
I’m a psychologist, and for the past 11 years, I’ve been living and working in the UK.
I consider myself a psychologist for modern life. Today’s world is fast-paced and ever-changing — and modern people try to keep up. This can be stressful, anxiety-provoking, confusing and even frightening. My clients are people who are not willing to stay remain stuck in those states. They want to be stronger than their problems. They want to live life on their own terms — not just survive. That’s the transformation they come to me for.
Over the years, I’ve helped people of different ages and backgrounds find inner wholeness. Through confidence and a sense of happiness, my clients have been able to build the lives they truly want — in their relationships, careers and beyond.
But it wasn’t always like this.
My first degree was in Applied Statistics. That’s the path I followed when I moved to the UK at 19. I became a successful statistician. I could have kept growing in that field — but despite various career achievements, I had to admit something: it didn’t bring me joy.
Since 2020, my analytical mindset and logical thinking have helped me in my work as a psychologist. Psychology had been with me since childhood — I just didn’t consider it a career path at first.
Back in school, I was fascinated by human psychology. In university, I chose it as a second subject and earned a dual degree. At the time, psychology was more for the soul — a way to find answers to my own questions.
I only started working with clients after I’d used psychology to build my own life — as a client first. Now I speak naturally about financial wellbeing, happy relationships, difficult family dynamics, purpose, career shifts, setbacks, and joy — because I’ve been through it myself.
After graduating from Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU), I completed one year of intensive counselling training, and received my qualification as a psychologist.
In the UK, I have further studied psychotherapy, completed an advanced business course, attended over 1000 hours of seminars and lectures, and participated in around 15 therapy groups.
Today, I work with English-, Ukrainian-, and Russian-speaking clients from around the world, and I also collaborate with mental health platforms.
I keep learning and evolving as a professional — always looking for the most effective tools. Because I don't believe meaningful change has to take years.
My goal is to help clients see change as quickly as possible — using only science-based methods.
Using these methods, I have successfully helped hundreds of clients and I look forward to helping you.
